Did you know DeLong’s recently made history? We received the largest single piece of steel plate ever shipped by rail…ever! This plate was 12 feet wide by 117 ½feet long and shipped by our supplier, Nucor, from their Brandenburg, KYplant. These plates were used to form the web on plate girders for Wisconsin-Southern railroad.

Interested to see the carriage that was affixed to the train cars for carrying such a long piece of plate, and still allowing it to follow turns in the track.
