What is considered passing at Blinn? ›

In order to achieve and remain in academic good standing at Blinn College, a student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 (C). A 2.0 cumulative grade point average is the minimum required for graduation.

Blinn College admitted 100% of all applicants in 2022. In 2022, 52,850 out of 52,917 total applicants were accepted.

Logging into MyBlinn

Go to https://my.blinn.edu. 2. Type your username and your password. Your default password is your birth date in the format MMDDYY.

Note that it is common practice for students to pass with grades in the range of 55% to 59% at the teacher's discretion.

While many institutions consider anything below 70% as failing, others may set the threshold at 60%. Additionally, some universities use alternative grading systems like pass/fail or narrative evaluations.

Blinn has an open admissions policy, and all students are welcome.

An overall GPA of 2.5 or greater is strongly recommended.

What is Blinn College known for? ›

Transfer. Blinn boasts the highest transfer rate in the state of Texas, sending students to institutions such as Texas A&M University, Sam Houston State University, Texas State University, the University of Texas and the University of Houston.

Yes. Transferable credits earned prior to beginning the program will count toward completion of the Blinn 36-credit hour requirement, but course grades earned at other schools will not affect the Blinn or A&M GPA.

Under the P/NP grading system, a passing grade (P) is defined as a C or higher.

Acceptance emails will be sent once your application has been received and processed by the Admissions Office (1 to 2 business day turn around). myBLINN is your student portal, where you can register for classes, pay, track your degree progress, and much more.

For each semester hour, a grade of A has 4 grade points; B, 3 grade points; C, 2 grade points; D, 1 grade point. The maximum grade point score is 4.00 representing an A average. The grade point average is arrived at by dividing the total number of grade points earned by the number of hours attempted.

Most colleges and universities generally consider a "D" (or a 60% to 69% score) as a passing grade.
